Kartal Kimya has always prioritised environmental protection and the building of a greener future.
In addition to our efforts to minimise carbon emissions, we are deeply committed to social responsibility. Our latest initiative focuses on supporting the recovery and reconstruction of the Hatay region following the devastating earthquakes in 2023. In this effort, we are proud to collaborate with the Hatay Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, Doğa’ana Women’s Cooperative, and Çukurova Fidecilik.

The global climate crisis is one of the greatest threats facing our planet. Rapidly rising temperatures, extreme weather events, sea level rise, and the degradation of ecosystems are having direct and far-reaching impacts on both nature and human life. Agriculture, water resources, biodiversity, and settlements are all increasingly vulnerable.
Problems such as air pollution, erosion, and water scarcity, many of which are intensified by climate change, are reducing quality of life and placing our planet’s future at risk. Responding to these challenges requires more than individual action. Meaningful and lasting solutions must be developed at both corporate and societal levels.
Every step taken in the fight against climate change makes a difference. It contributes not only to environmental protection but also to human health, wellbeing, and the future of our communities. At Kartal Kimya, we believe that environmental responsibility and the protection of nature are among our most important commitments.
Through these projects, we aim to take practical and lasting action against climate change. Our goals include restoring the natural environment and improving the quality of life for local communities.
This project is a social responsibility initiative launched to support environmental protection and sustainability in the Hatay region. In collaboration with the Hatay Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, Doğa’ana Women’s Cooperative, and Çukurova Fidecilik, our goal was to revitalise the area by establishing food and pocket forests.
Through this project, we aim to reduce air pollution, provide the local community with fresh fruit and vegetables, and contribute to the overall rehabilitation of the region.

The project covers container towns, schools, parks, and rehabilitation centres. Tree planting and the creation of green spaces are of great importance for environmental protection and meeting the food needs of the local community.

Thanks to this initiative, we have made a significant environmental and social impact. With the support of our local partners, we have distributed 19,000 saplings to 19 container towns in Hatay, sparking a major transformation. This is just the beginning of a much larger vision for green renewal.
A total of 763 trees were planted across various container towns and rehabilitation centres in Hatay.
As a result, 586.68 tonnes of carbon
emissions have been reduced.
Thanks to collaborations with local authorities and other companies, the project has grown and expanded even further.

Our commitment to this project stems not only from a sense of corporate responsibility, but also from a deep personal obligation. As a company active in the sector since 1985, we have always aimed to be a pioneer. However, following the disaster in Hatay, we came to understand just how urgent it is to address environmental challenges and support the rebuilding of communities.
Why We Launched This Project

Toxic substances such as asbestos, leaking from the rubble, pose a serious threat to local wildlife. These pollutants are contaminating the habitats of endangered species, particularly Caretta caretta sea turtles and more than 600 bird species.

At Kartal Kimya, we have always taken a leading role in reducing carbon emissions, and in 2015 we were honoured with the "Eco-Friendly Facility" award. However, we believe in constantly striving for better and are committed to balancing our environmental footprint.
Below is an overview of our tree planting activities and their impact on carbon emissions.
